About

I am just a good ol’e Texan girl who’s not afraid to get down and dirty. I’m as country as they come and I’ll always be “daddy’s girl“. I’ve got the Dallas Cowboys in my running through my veins and till the day I die. I live for football Sundays and Bar-b-Ques alike. I like biking, festivals, children, and reading in the sun. Take if from someone who knows your life is your own. I’ve been lost, found and then lost again. Each time I am alone I remember I exist. Be at peace with yourself. My favorite saying. Although, I don’t always follow my own advice.

Don’t mess with Texas” is just one of the rules that I’d advise you to take. And just measure your distance in hours and just forget the miles Texas is just that big.

Don’t mess with me, well that’s optional. I’m pretty fun to be around and I will always inspire you to do more. I would never hurt you intentionally but I’m still on the learning curve of life and make mistakes just like the next guy. I’m not perfect nor do I claim to be. I want to continue to grow and learn to be a better person. I am just me, Ruby Nerio, the not yet psychologist.

Bio: Ruby Nerio is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Ruby would like to work for the Department of Corrections as a Mental Health Counselor or possibly continue her education and become a Psychologist. Currently, the Social Media Coordinator for the North American Review Ruby resides in Cedar Falls, Iowa with her three children Estrella (Star), Gemini (Gem), and Amor (Love).

  1. Seems fitting many of us on WordPress need to write in one way or another. Your “about” page is right in line with that statement, ha! I respect people who work with others is more difficult situations (department of corrections). From you “about” picture it’s good to see you have a connection to nature (feet in mud, so therapeutic). I am sure that bond is helpful in your everyday life.

  2. Thanks for following my blog! I am sitting in Texas right now, fixin’ to go outside into the heat, and get a Coke! 🙂 Wish you luck at school, and have fun analyzing my many neuroses evident in my cartoons! I can be an extra credit project for you! 🙂
